Professor Kunini who spoke on Monday at Lau Stakeholders Forum meeting in Jalingo, the represents Lau Constituency in the state House of Assembly.
“The general apathy that trails the ongoing online nationwide voters registration is worrisome, some people even expect monetary inducement for them to register as voters at elections.
“This is an unpatriotic act, because voters registration is a civic duty for every citizen in the country.
“Therefore, I urge members of the Lau Stakeholders Forum to join forces to reverse the ugly trend in Lau local government area in particular and the state generally,” he stressed.
The meeting which was chaired by Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Lau local government area, Pastor Emmanuel D. Umar, attracted many stakeholders from the ten wards of the area.
