Niger state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has confirmed that 27 students were taken during the invasion by bandits.
The governor also confirmed that three staff and 12 of their family members were affected.
Bello gave the confirmation during a press briefing on the development in Minna.
21st Century Chronicle learnt that one of the school hostel ‘Barde’ was attacked by the bandits and its occupants abducted.
A source told our reporter that the bandits forced the students to exchange dresses with them.
He said the move was probably aimed at preventing the security operatives from attacking them and also forcing the government to negotiate.
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello had recently vowed not to negotiate with bandits.
