Ukraine and Russia have again exchanged the bodies of fallen soldiers, both sides reported on Thursday.
The staff in Kiev responsible for prisoners of war said 1,000 bodies had been received, and thanked the Red Cross for its mediation.
Russia’s TASS state news agency confirmed the report, it said the remains of 30 soldiers had been received.
Amid continuing military exchanges, Ukraine and Russia have repeatedly exchanged the bodies of the fallen, and this is the 15th such exchange this year.
Ukraine has received the bodies of more than 15,000 soldiers in these exchanges.
The slow Russian advance has meant that Russia returns more bodies than Ukraine does.
