The FBI said it is on high alert as there are indications of insurrection in about 50 states of the United States, the highest threat since the September 11 incident in 2001.
This is coming nine days to the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States.
Amidst the growing threat, Acting of Homeland Security Secretary, Chad Wolf, resigned on Monday. Wolf was the latest cabinet official to step down following last week’s deadly riot at the Capitol.
To protect the country, the FBI said it will use snippers and suicide helicopters, as well as deploy 50,000 security personnel.
