Bello Turji’s loyalists have invaded Gajit community in Lajinge District of Sabon Birni Local Government Area, Sokoto State, killing two people and abducting more than 20 residents.
The terrorists stormed the community in large numbers on Tuesday night.
According to a security alert platform, Bakatsine, on Wednesday, said the attack was part of a series of coordinated assaults Turji’s loyalists are carrying out in communities in the Sokoto East Senatorial District.
The bandits’ kingpin Turji renewed violent attacks aimed at seizing control of several communities in the eastern district, beginning with a brutal raid on Tidibale village in Isa Local Government Area on Monday night.
In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, the villagers were seen fleeing their homes in the middle of the night to neighbouring communities for safety.
Turji’s men attacked Bargaja village, also located in Isa LGA, in what security sources said was a systematic invasion to expand control over strategic rural settlements.
