The first, tricky test for APC’s brand new presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the choice of a running mate.
Nigeria is usually thought of as comprising “a Muslim North” and “a Christian South.”
Tinubu is a Southern Muslim.
If he chooses a Northern Christian as his running mate, he could lose support in the North West and North East.
If he chooses a Northern Muslim running mate, he could face a Christian community revolt that he did a “Muslim/Muslim” ticket.
It is trickier than a jigsaw puzzle.
