The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal on Monday sacked the member, representing Yabo-Shagari federal constituency, Umar Yusuf Yabo.
It ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to withdraw his Certificate of Return and conduct a rerun election within 90 days.
In a unanimous judgement read by the chairman of the tribunal, Justice Ashu A.Ewah, they declared the rerun election as inconclusive and ordered rerun in two polling units in Shagari local government area.
The court also ordered the law maker to pay N500,000 as damage to the petitioner, Abubakar Yabo of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reacting, Yabo said he would appeal against the judgement.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that Yabo (PDP) was declared winner of the 2023 parliamentary election before the election was declared inconclusive by the election petition tribunal.
Yabo also won in the rerun election conducted on February 3rd and the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) filed another petition challenging the outcome of the rerun.
