The Kano Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Kano has fixed Wednesday 20 September, 2023 to deliver judgement in the petition filed by All Progressive Congress (APC) challenging the victory of Abba Kabir Yusuf of New Nigeria People’s P.arty (NNPP).
It can be recalled that after the declaration of NNPP as winner of the state’s gubernatorial elecaur, APC had filed a suit before the tribunal challenging NNPP’ victory.
The fixing of the date for judgement was contained in a statement issued by the tribunal signed by the court’s secretary. The statement stated that judgement will hold at the state High Court sitting at Miller road in the state metropolis.
Already tension has been high in the state over the tribunal judgement. There have been several accusations and counter-accussation between APC and NNPP on attempt to bribe the judges and also there has been several unguarded utterances recently which are also connected with the u known tribunal judgment.
