The Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Ali-Hassan, has been freed by bandits after payment of a “huge ransom.”
The BOI boss was abducted alongside dozens passengers when bandits bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train last week.
A family source said Alhaji Hassan was freed on Wednesday after payment of a “huge ransom.” He didn’t disclose the actual amount paid for Mr Hassan’s freedom.
On March 28, 2022, terrorists popularly known as bandits bombed the Kaduna-bound train carrying hundreds of passengers.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) said about 182 passengers have safely reunited with their families, while 162 other passengers were either abducted or missing in the forest.
