Tottenham snatched a late win through Son’s penalty after a foul by Djenepo, amids chaotic confusion over European Super League.
Southampton dominated the first half and duly took the lead when Ings glanced in Ward-Prowse’s corner.
Immediately Ings was substituted in the second period, Tottenham got the chance to breath in the game and equalised through Bale’s curling finish before son converted the penalty, ending 2-1.
With this result Tottenham climbs to 5th position, while Southampton remains 14th on the premier league table.
