The Chairman, Board of Directors of the Federal Ministry of Finance Limited Incorporated and former Minister of Finance, Dr. Shamsuddeen Usman has urged the Federal Government to harmonise its Renew Hope Agenda and the campaign documents used for the 2023 general elections.
He made the call at the one-day roundtable organized by the 21st Century Media Services publishers of the 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE with the topic entitled Tinubu Administration’s Economic and Social Agenda: How it Will Transform Nigeria and delivered by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Dr. Usman who chaired the occasion which took place on Thursday said with the harmonization, it would lead to the achievement of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu Administration.
The former minister praised the FG for outlining its programmes and policy directions, saying that the Tinubu administration can be assessed.
He said with this posture the present administration was better than the previous administrations.
According to Dr. Usman, he observed certain trends in past administrations, saying anytime members of the executive council were attending meetings, they deceived the presidents telling them the programmes they were implementing were “line with your transformation agenda.”
He said they said such things just to curry favour from the presidents, adding that this was different from the present administration which has a document on Renewed Hope Agenda.
