The new Minimum Wage bill has been signed into law by President Bola Tinubu, on Monday.
The president signed the new law at 2 pm at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, among others witnessed the signing of the law.
Tinubu had transmitted the bill to the National Assembly last week after the Federal Government and the Organised labour agreed on a N70,000 minimum wage.
Both chambers of the NASS passed the bill the same day.
One of the highlights in the bill is henceforth the minimum wage would be reviewed upward every three years as against the five years it used to be.
