The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has summoned a meting of all senators and House of Representatives- elect in Abuja.
The meeting billed for Monday, is part of the moves to ensure a seamless emergence of the ruling party members as leaders of the two chambers of the 10th Assembly.
The new lawmakers would meet the National Working Committee (NWC) to develop a common template for the emergence of the new leadership.
The notice for the meeting which was sent out Friday night was titled “Invitation to all APC Senators-elect and Members of the House of Representatives-elect” and signed by the National Secretary of the party, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
The invitation reads in part, “This is to inform all Senators-Elect and members of the House of Representatives-Elect of the All Progressives Congress (APC), that they are invited to a parley with the Party’s National Leadership.
“The meeting which will be attended by the President-Elect and Vice President-Elect, will be held at the State House Banquet Hall, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
“Senators/House of Representatives-Elect must come to the meeting with their Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Certificate of Return and must come alone.
“The meeting is strictly on invitation.”
It said, “All invited guests are expected to arrive early to allow for screening and be seated before 12noon.”
