As at press time, the official agenda for the meeting was not disclosed to the public, it is however, learnt that the meeting would discuss the Ogoni clean-up project and the potential resumption of oil exploration in Ogoniland, Rivers State.
It is also envisaged that Tinubu would broker another peace to end the festering political feud between Fubara and Wike.
Tit would be recalled that the Federal Government has expressed worry over the long suspension of oil exploration in Rivers State.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Samuel Ogbuku, has also lamented that the Fubara-Wike conflict has halted oil exploration and exploitation by international oil companies in Ogoniland.
According to Ogbuku, the feud and energy crisis following the removal of oil subsidies by the Federal Government, was undermining the nation’s Gross Domestic Product over the years.
