President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, for the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, which begins on Monday, November 11
Tinubu, arrived at the King Abdulaziz international airport, at 10:00am (local time) Sunday, and was received by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Prince Mohammed AbdulRahman.
King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, invited Tinubu to participate in the summit that will focus on the current situation in the Middle East.
Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga said the President would be delivering an address on the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict.
Onanuga said Tinubu would be emphasising Nigeria’s call for an immediate ceasefire and the urgent need for a peaceful resolution in the region, including call for a two-state solution as pathway to lasting peace in the region.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; National Security Adviser (NSA) Malam Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris; and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mohammed Mohammed accompanied the president on the trip.
