The professional Golfer, Rory McIlroy told Sky Sports “If things go well over the next week or so, Tiger Woods might be discharged from the hospital to continue recovery at home.”
Woods remains at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in California following surgery on the serious leg injuries he sustained in a car crash last month. He is likely to return to his Florida home next week.
The 45-year-old lost control of his SUV, which tumbled a number of times across the oncoming carriageway, according to the first witness to arrive on the scene.
Woods was taken to hospital for surgery on “multiple and significant fractures” in his lower right leg, ankle and foot, and he underwent a follow-up procedure a few days later.
Authorities in Los Angeles are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident, although Woods is not expected to face any criminal charges at this time.
