Three persons have been killed as rival cultists clashed in the Agboyi area of Alapere, Lagos State.
Those killed have been identified as Oluwole; and Labalaba, and unnamed tricycle operator.
According to residents of the community, Eiye and Aiye cults had been been in supremacy fight for long, adding that the secret groups usually operate both day and at night.
A resident named simply as Ismaila revealed that cultists shot and stabbed the tricycle operator to death at Salami Bus-Stop, Agboyi Road, on Tuesday.
The third casualty from the attack popularly called Labalaba, was killed by the cultists around 9pm on Saturday, in the Osogun area.
The state Police spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin said the police is aware of cult clashes and killings going on in the Alapere area.
“Only two people were shot dead and suspects have been arrested. Efforts are on to apprehend more suspects; it is an ongoing operation.”
