Bandits have killed three persons and abducted some passengers in Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state.
The bandits were said to have attacked three villages between Saturday and Monday in the area and killed one person in each of the villages.
The villages were Sardauna, Turtsawa and Teke.
A resident of Sabon Birni Musa Muhammad who confirmed this to our reporter gave the names of the victims as Sanusi Alaramma Labaran (Teke), Danbuga Dogo (Sardauna) and Muhammad Dangwaggo (Turtsawa).
Muhammad said the terrorists had gunned down another persons at Turtsawa village and abducted some.passengers along Turtsawa-Unguwan Lalle road around 12 noon on Monday.
“We are not longer safe because the terrorists attack our people on daily basis despite the present of the military, police and Civil Defence Corps in Sabon Birni,” he said.
However, the acting spokesperson of the police, Ahmad Rufa’i, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
