The Emir of Billiri (Mai Tangale) in Gombe state, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru ll, is dead. He was 72.
This was confirmed by the Secretary to Gombe State Government, Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi , in a statement.
He said the late monarch died after a brief illness at the Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Gombe.
The statement described the death of the traditional ruler as a “monumental loss to the Tangale Chiefdom, the state and the country.”
