The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by Muhammad Sani Yahaya of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) against the election of Taraba Governor Agbu Kefas.
The apex court five-member panel in a unanimous judgment on Thursday said the NNPP and its candidate failed to establish their case that Kefas was not elected by majority of valid votes.
Reading the lead judgement, Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, said the Court of Appeal was right to have earlier dismissed the appeal on grounds of incomplete records of appeal.
Justice Lawal affirmed the judgment of the Court of Appeal affirming Kefas’ election.
