The younger sister of Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas, Atsi Kefas, is dead.
She died from gunshot wounds she reportedly sustained from bullets fired by one of her police escorts.
Ms Atsi died in Abuja Tuesday night due to injuries in her stomach resulting from the gunshots, a source said.
Gunmen attacked the vehicle of the governor’s sister along the Wukari-Kente road in the Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, it was revealed.
During the attack, a police escort accidentally discharged a firearm, fatally wounding her in the stomach, according to sources.
There was no official statement from the state government or the family yet.
