Deputy Governor of Taraba State Aminu Alkali has returned to Jalingo after four months absence.
Alkali arrived at the Danbaba Suntai Airport, Jalingo, in a chartered Aircraft at 1.40pm on Sunday unannounced as there were no journalists to cover the event.
When he took ill, he was taken to Abuja for treatment of an undisclosed illness and later flown to Egypt for intensive medical treatment.
“We were told that the Deputy governor is back in Jalingo but nobody informed us of his return. We only heard after he returned to the town,” a journalist attached to the Deputy Governor’s office revealed.
Spokesperson to the state governor, Emmanuel Bello, said the Deputy Governor has returned, but gave no details.
