Players of Sunshine Stars of Akure on Tuesday protested non-payment on three months salaries and other allowances.
The players said they have not been paid since commencement of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
Several fans have blamed the team’s poor performance in their matches this season on poor welfare of players.
