Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has accused workers of using the sit-at-home order to stay away from work.
The governor has therefore threatened to cut the salary of any worker who obeys the order.
Soludo disclosed this while addressing the Anambra State workforce at May Day celebration held at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka on Monday.
Soludo said Monday’s sit-at-home has become an excuse for workers to stop coming to work on Mondays, noting that it cannot continue.
Soludo recently increased workers’ salaries by 10 per cent.
