The military in Pleteau state says it has rescued student of Calvary International Ministry (CAPRO), Kevin Eze, abducted on Thursday by gunmen.
Two of the students were abducted in the school, but one escaped during a gun duel with security operatives while the other was taken away by the captors.
Media officer of Operation Safe Haven, a joint military operation in Plateau state, Major Ibrahim Shittu, said in a statement on Sunday that Eze was rescued in the early hours of Sunday by troops without payment of ransom.
“The rescued student is hale and hearty and has been reunited with other students in the college,” the statement said.
