A notorious bandit kingpin identified as Mr Bada at Yar Tasha village in Maru Local Government Area, Zamfara State has been killed .
The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Musa Danmadami, made this known in a statement on Monday in Abuja, saying Bada was shit while attacking farmers harvesting their produce.
General Danmadami reveaked that kingpin invaded Yar Tashar village market and killed some farmers on Oct. 13.
He said security forces rescued kidnapped victims on Nov. 6, when they took on bandits who attacked Gamraki village, Kwatarkwashi District of Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.
He said a bandit was shot while others fled with gunshot injuries and recovered arms and ammunition in the encounter in the process, adding that one motorcycle, some weapons and valuables were recovered.
“The military high command commends troops of Operation Hadarin Daji and encourages the general public to avail troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities,” General Danmadami said
