Gareth Bale has lamented Wales’ “sloppy mistakes” caused their 3-1 defeat to Belgium on Wednesday as they made a disastrous start to their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Wales conceded three goals after taking an early lead against Belgium in Leuven, to the frustration of Bale.
The Tottenham winger assisted the free-flowing opener by sliding a through ball to Harry Wilson, before Belgium answered with goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Thorgan Hazard and Romelu Lukaku.
Wales will play against another front-runner of Group E, Czech Republic on March 30, after Czech Republic defeated Estonia 6-2 in their qualifying opener.
