First Lady Aisha Buhari has appointed the former Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima as board chairman of the newly established Future Assured College Maiduguri, Borno State.
Halima Buhari would serve as the secretary of the board, the First Lady announced on her official Facebook page on Tuesday.
The first lady disclosed this in Abuja when inaugurating the board at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
The college is meant for free education as part of Mrs Buhari’s efforts to assist the less privileged and internally displaced people.
Mrs Buhari said, “Earlier this afternoon, I had the privilege of inaugurating the board of the newly established Future Assured College Maiduguri.
“The board is fortunate to have eminent qualified and competent professionals, with the former Executive Governor of Borno State, HE, Senator Kashim Shetima as chairman and Ms. Halima Buhari-Sheriff as secretary.”
