Children of the former House of Representatives member representing Zaria federal constituency, Sani Mohammed Sha’aban, have purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s forms for their father to contest the Kaduna governorship election.
The children, altogether 17, bought the expression of interest and nomination forms at the International Conference Center, Abuja on Thursday.
One of the daughters, Asmau Sani Sha’aban, who spoke on behalf of the children, said: “We are here today because we, as his (Sha’aban) children, have gathered together and decided to purchase the governorship form. He’s not around actually and we wanted to give this to him as a gift.
“We will like to believe that he has a higher chance of winning for Kaduna State because the people love him, the people admire him, and he is a person who relates with the people, he’s a person who has empathy.”
