President Muhammadu Buhari has been given six weeks to tackle raging security challenges ravaging the country or face impeachment.
The opposition senators disclosed this on Wednesday in a press briefing by Senate Minority Leader, Philip Aduda.
Mr Aduda revealed this after the opposition lawmakers stormed out of the Senate plenary angrily, chanting “Buhari must go and Lawan should follow” to protest the worsening insecurity in the country.
The disagreement started during the plenary when Mr Aduda raised a point of order to deliberate on issues raised at an two-hour executive session.
Senate President Ahmad Lawan overruled Aduda, saying the senate leader should proceed with the items listed on the Order Paper.
Angered by the ruling, the opposition senators stormed out of the plenary, chanting songs, calling for Buhari to quit.
