Senator Uba Sani (APC, Kaduna Central) on Tuesday, declared his intention to vie for the governorship position in the state in 2023.
The lawmaker made his intention known at the party’s secretariat located at Aliu Akilu road during a meeting with the party stakeholders.
“I came to inform you of my intention to contest for the governorship seat under the APC. I also need your support to achieve this aim,” the senator informed party members during the event.
In January, 2022, Uba’s predecessor at the Senate, Shehu Sani also declared to contest for the governorship position in the state come 2023.
Shehu served as senator from 2015 to 2019, and had said he would contest for the seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
