The Senate, on Tuesday, confirmed the appointment of the nominations of six persons as commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
This followed the presentation and consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs during plenary.
Chairman of the committee, Sen. Yahaya Abdullahi who presented the report said the committee was confident that the nominees possessed the requisite knowledge.
“We are convinced of their suitability,” he said.
Those confirmed are Bello Wamakko, Sokoto; Hadizatu Mustapha, Borno; Sen. Marafa Abba, Taraba; Ahmed Hassan, Adamawa; Bob Inafa, Bayelsa and Gboyega Oladele, Osun.
Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau who presided over the plenary said the appointment of the nominees was a call to serve the nation.
