Barrister Victor Chinemerem Muruako has been confirmed as chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC).
The senate made the confirmation Thursday and urged President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently nominate the remaining six members of the Commission so it can perform its duties effectively.
Established by the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2007, the FRC had remained without a properly constituted board for 14 years.
Muruako has been acting Chairman of FRC since 2014 without a fully constituted board.
