Hajiya Aisha Danbaba, daughter of the late Sardauna of Sokoto and Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello, who died last Friday was buried amidst eulogies and tears.
Hajiya Aisha died on Fridayin Dubai, UAE, where she was receiving treatment at a private hospital.
The late Hajiya Aisha is survived by five children, including the Magajin Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, and many grand children.
Her remains were buried at the Hubbaren Shehu, the cemetery for the prominent sons and daughters of Sokoto at around 3:40pm.
Her funeral prayers took place at the Masallacin Shehu, led by the chief imam of the mosque, Liman Akwara.
The prayer was attended by many prominent politicians, businessmen and technocrats, including the Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawal, Governors of Sokoto, Yobe and Kano states.
Others were Aliko Dangote, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Ali Gusau, among others.
