The funeral arrangements for the late musician Sammie Okposo have been made public by his family.
Hector Okposo, who represents the family, announced in a statement that the 51-year-old singer “slept and went to be with the Lord.”
The “Sammie Okposo (Farewell) Praise Party” (S.O.P.P.) will be held on December 13th, according to the burial plans disclosed by the late singer’s family.
The celebration will take the form of an industry homage night and is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. at La Madison Place in Oniru, Lagos.
The late singer’s final post served as a look back at his performance at the “Sammie Okposo PraiseParty,” which took place on November 4.
A Service of Songs will be held on December 14th at 6 o’clock at the House on the Rock Cathedral in Lekki, Lagos.
On Sunday, December 18th, an Outing Service at The Logic Church in Lekki, Lagos, will put an end to the week-long funeral rites.
The singer of “Welu Welu” passed away on November 25.
The cause of his death is still a mystery.
He was 51.
Okposo, who came from Delta State, is credited with inspiring a generation of performers, notably Delta State comedians.
