A Minna-based 33-year-old freelance photographer, Zacchaeus Salawadeen, has been stabbed severally leading to his death.
The Niger State Police spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, said exhibits were recovered from the scene while investigation has begun.
Abiodun said Salawadeen who lives at Tudun-Fulani, Minna was attacked in the house by unknown person(s), who stabbed and robbed him of valuables.
He was rushed to the IBB Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
“The police operatives at Bosso Division visited the scene and recovered some exhibits as preliminary investigation has commenced into the unfortunate incident,” Abiodun said.
The killers trailed Salawadeen to his house, forced their way in and stabbed him severally as three of his children watched the gory sight.
The killers then left with Salawadeen’s laptop and camera.
Locals said the incident happened on Tuesday when the photographer returned to his after the day’s work.
The suspected killers on arrival locked other occupants of the house in one place before breaking into Salawadeen’s flat to kill him.
