The police in Rivers State said an unidentified couple has died after inhaling generator fumes in their apartment.

He due to a power outage and heavy rainfall in the night, the couple placated their generator to the passage of their apartment.
James said by late Saturday morning, neighbours became concerned when the couple did not come out of their room, adding that this led the co-tenants to knock on their door to ascertain their wellbeing.
He said with no response, the co-tenants broke into the apartment and “they discovered the lifeless bodies of the couple.”
“Subsequently, the incident was reported to the Central Police Station in Port Harcourt Township,” James said.
The state police spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the couple died from carbon monoxide inhalation, adding that their corpses had been deposited at the morgue.
