A House help of Mr Geng Quanrong, the Chinese national accused of murdering Ummukhulsum Buhari, popularly known as Ummita at her Janbulo residence in Gwale local government area of Kano state last Friday told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that, she had observed that her boss had shown signs of depression for days as he appears worried.
The house help who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed that Mr Geng who lives in Nassarawa GRA in Nassarawa local government area of the state’s metropolis has been a very jovial person who keeps a very low life profile. She explained that on the faithful day he had called her and also called his security man telling them not to report for duty the following day only for her to read the sad story of an alleged murder involving her boss.
“He called me that I shouldn’t come to work the next day and I later learnt that he had also called his security guard and told him the same thing. It was in the morning that I saw his picture on social media that he has been involved in a murder case,” she revealed.
According to her, she had noticed that her boss wasn’t himself for days, adding that he has been exhibiting signs of depression for days. “He has never been hostile to me or to anyone that I know,” she said.
Mr Geng is said to be a businessman dealing in textile materials at the famous Kantin Kwari textile market.
