A new sect which engages in international human trafficking has been uncovered in Kaduna state by the intelligence services.
The new sect, which is recruiting members from within and outside Nigeria, is named ACHAD Life Mission International.
The leader of the sect, identified as Mr Yokana, resides in Jos, Plateau state; while the sect has its headquarters in Kaduna.
The new sect doesn’t believe in Islam or Christianity, but preaches the restoration of African traditions and support for humanity.
The intelligence report said the sect is also engage in child separation.
The Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS) revealed this in a circular titled ‘Emergence of new sect ACHAD Life Mission International.’
The circular, dated January 14, 2025, was signed by the Principal Staff Officer to the NIS Comptroller-General, CIS AA Aridegbe.
The circular, signed on behalf of the CG, said, “I am directed to inform you that the intelligence gathered by the service reveals the emergency of a new sect, called Achard Life Mission International.
“The intelligence reports that the sect has its headquarters in Kaduna, while its leader, Mr Yokana, lives in Jos, Plateau State.
“It further notes that the sect neither believes in Islam nor Christianity, but preaches the restoration of the African tradition and supports humanity.
“The intelligence further reveals that the sect has been canvassing for members both within and outside Nigeria and it is possibly involved in human trafficking and child separation.
“In the light of the above, you are expected to stay vigilant and report immediately any sign of the sect and where possible arrest and revert accordingly. This is for your information and strict compliance.”
The circular was sent to all the Directorstes, Zones, Training Institutions and state Commands of the NIS.
