More than two weeks after he was declared wanted by the Department of State Services (DSS), the leading Yoruba Nation secessionist, Sunday Adeyemo (Sunday Igboho) has been arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

He later widened the eviction notice to all the Southwest states, asking Fulani to leave.

They declared him wanted for stockpiling arms and attacking security forces. He however denied the allegations.
Reports further revealed that the Yoruba Nation was arrested in Benin while trying to travel out on Monday night. His destination was Germany.
Igboho’s arrest is coming few weeks after another secessionist and leader of proscribed IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, was arrested in Kenya.
Kanu was extradited and arraigned before an Abuja court were he jumped bail.
Recently, IPOB has launched coordinated attacks on security formations and INEC offices across the Southeast and Southwest, killing at least 60 security officers.
