The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has said the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) would scale a legislative hurdle at the green chamber by April.
21st Century Chronicle reports that the PIB has been at the National Assembly for decades with its passage stalled by contending interests.
The House of Representatives is currently engaging stakeholders through a public hearing after the Senate has rounded up its session on the bill.
In a statement through Lanre Lasisi, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gbajabiamila said the 9th Assembly would end the apparent jinx clouding the passage of the all important bill.
