Real Madrid take a two-goal advantage into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash after beating Liverpool 3-1 at the Alfredo Di Stefano Tuesday.
Goals in the first half from Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio put Real Madrid in front. Mohamed Salah responded after the break for the Reds, notching a vital away goal.
However, Vinicius fired home a second goal to leave Zinedine Zidane’s men in a position of strength heading to Anfield next week.
Real Madrid will face another crunch game at the weekend. They will face Barcelona in El Clasico on home soil.
Liverpool take on Aston Villa at home in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
