Christians have been urged to use the occasion of Christmas to promote peace and unity as exemplified by Jesus Christ during his lifetime.
The Founder and President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, gave this advice in a Christmas message he personally signed on Wednesday.
While congratulating Christians in Nigeria on this noble occasion, the MAAUN founder called on Christians to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, compassion, generosity and peaceful coexistence.
Prof. Gwarzo said 2024 Christmas is a time for sober reflection, cooperation and respect for all humans which are the cardinal principles which Jesus Christ preached during his lifetime.
“As you celebrate this Christmas, let us maintain our cherished values and resolve to continue to promote peace and harmony amongst all Nigerians, irrespective of religious and political inclinations for the socio-economic and political development of our country,” the edupreneur and philanthropist said.
He said, “As our Christian brothers and sisters celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, I extend my warmest wishes for a blissful and peaceful celebration.”
“I wish to on behalf of the Management of MAAUN Group of Universities felicitate with all Christians in Nigeria and beyond on this auspicious occasion and wish you a blissful celebration and prosperous New Year in advance,” the university administrator said.
