Chelsea will be allowed to sell tickets to away games, cup matches and fixtures involving the women’s team after alterations to the club’s special licence by the UK Government.
The club has been unable to sell tickets since the UK government sanctioned the owner of the club, Roman Abramovich as part of its response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Under the changed licence, the money realised from the sales of tickets will go directly to the Premier League which -would be distributed to charities helping Ukrainian refugees.
As part of the licence change the parent company of the club Fordstam Ltd which is owned by Abramovich will pay £30m to Chelsea for its running costs.
This alteration means Chelsea will be able to sell tickets for their home Champions League quarter-final game against Real Madrid billed for 6 April and the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium on 16 April.
