A 8-month pregnant health worker has been killed by suspected bandits
along Zankoro –Ungwar Yako in Birnin Gwari local government area of
Kaduna state.
The deceased cousin, Aliyu Mahmud, who confirmed this to journalists
on Monday, said Aisha Yusuf, was a staff of a primary health care
clinic in Birnin Gwari.
He said Aisha was hit by a bullet when the bandits opened fire on the
commercial vehicle conveying her and other passengers from Birnin
Gwari to Kaduna.
The Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State Police Command, ASP
Mohammed Jalige, said he was yet to get the details of the incident.
