Nigeria’s electricity grid has collapsed for the sixth time this year.
The latest grid collapse happened at about 2:41 am on Monday, with generation dropping to around 64.70 megawatts.
Data from the Independent System Operator (ISO), a branch of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, showed that after the collapse, only one generation company, Ibom Power, was active.
Data from the ISO as of 8am on Monday, showed that the grid was generating 266.50mw of electricity from Okpai, Geregu and Ibom power.
Power distribution companies have already communicated the development to customers in separate statements.
