Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong says politicians are fueling the crisis in his state.
He said this in Abuja on Tuesday at a 2-day Nigerian Economic Summit.
“Plateau is codenamed the home of peace and tourism… then all of a sudden, what happened? I will say also that part of it is the role of political actors,” he said.
Lalong also faulted successive administrations in the state for capitalising on ethno-religion issues rather than finding means to solve the cause of crisis.
Lalong, who is the Chairman of Northern Governors Forum, said governors of the 19 northern states are in full support of the creation of state police to tackle security challenges facing the region.
