The Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Oludare Kadiri, was Friday arrested by the police for allegedly attacking some politicians his Oru-Ijebu Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun
The Ogun Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the law maker was arrested following a petition against him.
He was alleged to have led thugs to the house of a constituent and destroyed his property.
Oyeyemi said the deputy speaker allegedly attacked a Supervisory Councillor in Oru-Ijebu and he led some people to beat up the man in the presence of the police during the All Progressives Congress APC membership registration in the area.
“That’s why he was invited for questioning and we are investigating him,” Oyeyemi said on Friday evening.
