Police arrest Mohbad’s brother, friend outside Lagos court
The police have arrested the younger brother of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, on the premises of the Magistrates’ Court in the Ogba area of Lagos State.
Adura was reportedly arrested on Wednesday together with his friend, Ibrahim Koleosho, aka King White, shortly after attending a legal proceeding regarding a phone he sold to one Damola Ayinde.
Both of them were arrested by operatives of the Zone 2 Police Command.
“Yes, they were arrested by the police operatives from Zone 2, Onikan, not men of the Lagos State Command,” he said.
The zonal police spokesperson, Ayuba Umma was yet to give reasons for the arrest of the duo as all efforts to reach him were unsuccessful.
In January, the late singer’s
mother, Abosede, fought Yomi Fabiyi at a press briefing over allegations against the late singer’s brother, Adura.
This was sequel to a petition filed by
Fabiyi on Friday, December 13, 2024, accusing the deceased’s brother of initiating an Instagram chat wherein he claimed to have video evidence of how Mohbad died.
Fabiyi in the petition he posted on his social media handles accused Adura of demanding N3m to be paid in Bitcoin in exchange for the video evidence.
Adura denied the allegation saying the chat was from Ayinde to whom he had sold his phone.
A forensic investigation has since been conducted while the court is still probing the case.
