Plateau United emerged victorious in an intense match against Abia Warriors in Match Day 20 of the Nigerian Professional football League.
The home team’s two goals were scored by Ibrahim Mustapha. The first was a superb strike which gave the keeper little chance. He pounced on a mix-up in Abia’s defence to score his second.
Fatai Abdullahi got a goal back for Abia Warriors with a brilliant individual goal but it proved to be a mere consolation goal.
Plateau United are now 10th on the table while Abia Warriors remain in 12th position.
